Over the socially noticible size?

Flipping through the glossy pages of a high-trend magazine, designed to make you realize YOU need to be 'photo-shopped' , the lust you never knew you had comes rushing out of no where. Welcome to the ultimate devotion to women-kind with a twist.

Everyone, well the majority of us, have had a nightmare picking out that perfect dress, not too short - not too tight, for the one evening where you need to be fabulous! Trust me, I have been on a literal 'hunting trip' for such occasions where, scavenging through the distances with limited options, all I can think of is 'where will that fat peek out from' in the next dress I try on? Its a nightmare, and I am the one 'on the edge' with expectations to look acceptable as per my standards of-course, influenced highly by the 'overpriced color print of the glossy magazine'.

The stories of the chariot of lights and the air of gasps at the sight of the 'glitter adorned' figure are what defines the physical attributes for a young girl. Its like a sarcastic way a society warns for the looming 'lifelong stares'. But I feel its unfair. The skinny models who portray the 'best of women kind' physically, somehow are just a 'leashed' social body type, under constant need to perform. Is it fair that the physical aspect is judged by the latest model on the cover pages of 'Vogue' just because a hand full of so called 'preservators of the institution of Fashion' believe so?

The constant, unnecessary need to be the 'size zero Kareena' follower has deferred many women the pleasure of 'loving ones body' the way it should be. The low esteem is nothing but the reflection of the societies need to be 'standardized', just like everything else. Rest all can be and at some places should be treated as 'ignorable' commodity.

All this shows the actual 'no-spine' structure of our mind as a society, which works majorly as followers rather than decisions makers. While trying to decipher the  plumbing source of this working drainage, the society shows us, that even though we say 'we are a world of free-thinkers', its a illusion, new plumbing on top of old. This is where we still worship the leader, take in the world wat it gives you without a fight, make dresses which can only be modeled on a certain body type, or give glossy pages full of highly 'content edited' photographs to ask you to do more.

All we need to think is that are we moving ahead or stagnant wearing 'glasses of social acceptance'. Ponder away......

Selfish patriotism or a national cataclysm?

So u are in deep sleep, blissfully 'aware' of the non-working day coming right up when of course you are reminded of the National so-called-Importance of this day by the random and utter chaotic choice of patriotic numbers blaring right outside your bedroom window! Yes.... Happy Republic Day once again!

lets concentrate on the extent of 'ridicule' playlist which includes comic mixes of Munni's sone ki dharti and Sheila ki jawani for nannah sipahis... what is the countries obsession with mediocre 'pan wala' songs which attempt at proving all Einsteins work wrong! (Husn ki teelli se beedi-chillam jalaane aayi!!). Well we would discus that on a later stage but the question ,which i came across while ofcourse cursing the 'one day' show-sha of extreme 'tide ki safedi' (obsession with wearing only white that too not Khaddi! what is the point??),was "why only one day is celebrated with so much pride?" while the rest of the year we curse the mighty nature of this India Inc.

In my opinion, majority of us take selfish pride in this occasion to get a 'official' nation wide holiday, and with a perfect weekend like this one, enjoy the benefit of an extended 'so-called-well-deserved' break. Did we do anything for this country after its freedom and the restore the republican nature in the spirit it was intended? Did we attempt at making a political difference in this country atall? Well some questions are best left unanswered so shhhhh....

A very peculiar phenomenon which i came to think about with the celebration of this national celebration is the peculiar link to sports. Some how Sports day in schools, offices, colleges and other sport events all are in the mysterious nature as it may be, scheduled to be held the same day. Now what is the deal with that? How is celebration of a sport day, calling upon an honored sports personality as 'chief of function' even remotely related to the country which lacks the basic necessities for an sports career, where the meticulous national game of hockey needs to be explained by a Bollywood movie under the pretense of profit-making cinematography?

One thing is for sure, A country as divers as ours lacks the basic pure intention of celebration of pride and moving forwards with growth. On the other hand, we believe in utmost chaos and self-restoration through an extended spa treatments. It is a shame while being one of the largest republics of the world, more than 90% of the population is unaware of the roots and foundation of this country. Unaware of the meaning of an truly 'republican nation'.

Well, unless some step is taken towards the patriotic literacy and the true celebration of this sone ki chidiya 'Bharat', i will be content with cursing the next moron, who plays next best Bollywood item numbers with national pride, while burring my head under my pillow for a few more moments of sleep... Jai Hind!
